WHAT DOES HIIT STAND FOR ANYWAY?
High Intensity Interval Training… As you can tell from the name, HIIT can be challenging! You can use HIIT with any type of cardio workout, whether it's running, using a stair climbing machine, rowing, or jumping rope. You’ll work up a sweat fast, working at a very intense level and then backing off for a slower recovery period, followed by another round of high intensity.
Fit Birds training is centred around calisthenics - more commonly known as bodyweight training, and the best thing about it is that it don't cost a thing! All you need is your body and space as small as your living room floor or as big as your park next door.
Bodyweight training is all about functional fitness - a term that basically refers to movements in which the human body is built to perform - bending, pulling, pushing, twisting, stepping etc. These movements help lubricate the joints and strengthen your tendons and muscles surrounding them - thus keeping your body in tip-top shape. A lot of aches and pains are just stiff/weak muscles and joints that need to be moved.
